Mutuc v. Huntington Memorial

Phase Two trial

The court has continued the Phase 2 trial, which is on behalf of all employees who have separated their employ from Huntington Memorial Hospital between January 17, 1999 and January 20, 2004 and who did not receive all wages owing on their final pay check. The case is to be tried in LA Superior Court in Dept. 89 before the Honorable William A. Mac Laughlin on September 8, 2008.

We are extremely happy to report that on January 25, 2008 Honorable William MacLaughlin entered a Supplemental Statement of Decision granting plaintiffs’ requested $32,857,014.83 in restitution. We are now waiting for a hearing date to be set for the parties to appear and discuss the language for an injunction and a distribution plan for the class members. Of course, Huntington Hospital may appeal the final judgment once entered.
